Sign Permit Application
INSTALLING OR MODIFYING A COMMERCIAL SIGN?
Signs will first require a Planning Application and approval.
Depending on the type, a Building Dept. permit might also be required.

Building Dept.

Contractors; Apply for your permits via Oregon ePermitting. Be sure to select; "Commercial" permit type then select "Structural" permit; https://aca-oregon.accela.com/oregon
Note; we do not offer on-line plan review. Signs that require a Structural Permits will also require 2 sets of plans to be submitted to the Building Official for review. (If no Structural Permit is required, then no plans are required)
Once approved, you will receive 1-approved set of plans to be kept at the job site.
ELECTRICAL PERMIT; If the sign will be illuminated then an Electrical Permit would be required. All Electrical Permits are issued & inspected through COLUMBIA COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT located at the County Offices in St. Helens, they also use Oregon e-permit or call them at; 503-397-1501.
PLAN REVIEW; WE DO NOT OFFER ON-LINE PLAN REVIEW.
- The preferred plan size is 11"x17" or 8.5"x11"
- The Planning Dept. will require 1-set of plans (other requirements are listed on the SIGN application).
- The Building Dept. will require 2-sets of plans, if a structural permit is required.
- The standard concurrent review time is approx. 2-weeks.
